Our hearts are full of love, but just like lightning, it’s a difficult thing to catch and hold on to. Always ready for a challenge, artist Jill Henrietta Davis created a way to capture, share, and even gift-wrap our most precious thoughts and feelings. Write messages of love, promises, IOUs, dreams for the future, cherished memories, or all the many reasons why you adore your special someone on the 52 small slips of paper that come with each shimmering hand-blown glass bottle.

  • Roll up each written slip, deposit them all in the heart-shaped spout, then share the full bank with the person you cherish the most. They can shake one out per week, all at once, or just when they need a little loving encouragement.
  • Jill crafts each one-of-a-kind piece using a special instrument that she invented herself (It was impossible to make a really good heart with traditional glassblowing tools, she explains).
  • Choose from three colors: cool blues, warm pinks, and rainbow.
  • Handmade in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.

“When you relinquish the tools you take for granted ... you have to stretch and find new tools to suit the new situation. Sometimes it's scary, sometimes it's awkward, often it's funny, nearly always it's a great investment.”

While studying fashion at New York's Parsons School of Design, Jill Davis became curious about other art forms, and the first time she saw molten glass, her search was over. "Glass is the most challenging and rewarding material," she explains. "You can't bully it - you are perpetually persuading the glass into shape. Even master glassblowers cannot always get the glass to do what they want. It's this feisty streak that keeps me enchanted." Jill's solar-powered studio is based in Pawtucket, Rhode Island.
