Philippines-based artist Loly Gomez left rice farming behind in 1972 to open a shop, selling pieces made from recycled glass. When her work caught the eye of Chicago designer and entrepreneur Carmi Plaut, an international partnership was born. The pair have been designing together for more than 25 years, with Loly also in charge of manufacturing in the Philippines and Carmi handling marketing from Chicago. "The collaboration is so natural and so wonderful," says Loly. "Like family."

A Stunning Piece!

I ordered and received the December Tree of Giving. My birthday is in January, but the December tree spoke to me and I loved the color for the area where it would be displayed. The craftsmanship is amazing! The gold metal wire work looks like gold leaf. The crystal pieces are beautifully cut and it's just a stunning piece! I have it hanging on a wall next to a bank of windows. When the light streams in, my tree glows! I have already chosen a few pieces from this artist for my Christmas wishlist this year. You will not be disappointed. This is such a lovely piece and anyone would be thrilled to receive any of the colors for a gift!

I love my November Birth Month tree. SO, I bought the December Birth Month Tree for a dear friend who will be turning 70 in December. She will love hers too! They are simple yet meticulously handcrafted. Easy to hang and look beautiful on the wall. I am very happy with this purchase.

Very nice tree. Crystals look really nice. This one was for myself. I have already ordered another for my niece, but it is on back order.The trees are true to the month in what they stand for. Not too big. Just right. It maybe the perfect gift of the year!

Hi! There’s a loop behind every piece so it can hang on the wall. You could also put this in a stand as well. You have options!
